VM Timber & Traders has been in the timber trade since 2013, on By Pass Road in Karimangalam. We buy round logs, cut them in our own mill and sell them as logs or sawn timber. Our carpenters also make doors, windows, frames and furniture.

Not all teak is the same. Choose the origin that suits your budget, look and use, and we will show you the actual pieces.
Burma (Myanmar) border teak
Imported teak known for dense, oil-rich golden-brown heartwood and a tight, straight grain. The traditional premium choice for main doors and fine furniture.
Nilambur teak
From Nilambur in Kerala, a region famous for teak. Rich colour and strong, durable heartwood that suits doors, frames and carved work.
Kerala teak
Teak grown in Kerala with dependable strength and colour. A good fit for door and window frames, doors and furniture.
Ghana teak
Imported plantation teak from West Africa. Even, easy-to-work timber, popular for frames, planking and furniture.

Which teak varieties do you have?

Do you sell Merbau, Vengai and Mahogany?
Yes. Merbau is also known locally as Vengai or Honne. We also stock Mahogany, as round logs and sawn timber.
Can you cut timber to my sizes?
Yes. We saw, sort and drill timber at our own mill to the sizes you specify. You can also bring your own timber for sawing.
Do you make doors, windows and furniture?
Yes. Our carpenters make doors, windows, frames and furniture to your drawings, and can install them.
I am building a new house. Where do I start?
